 SPECIALITY

Nepal is blessed with a vast array of exceptionally rich bird life with total of over 850 species recorded. A diverse topography and climate has resulted in a variety of habitats within the country, which are home to over 10% of the Worlds total bird population.
Nepal is a paradise for the birdwatcher. From the lowland jungle of the Terai and the Koshi Tappu barrage through dense rhododendron and Oak forest of the middle hills to the windswept plateaus of the high Himalaya there is always something to keep one twitching.

 ITINERARY

We organize special custom made bird watching tour in Chitwan National Park. The package is based in lodge at the undisturbed and tranquil location inside the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park. You can observe hundreds of bird species in the resort’s garden woods itself. We custom make your package with bird expert to keep you engaged and excited.

Day 1: Drive or fly to Chitwan National park. Later visit the local village (Tharu ethnic group) and walk back to the lodge through the community forest watching birds. Enjoy the sunset from the bank of Rapti river and look for animals across. Participate in the Tharu cultural dance in the evening. Dinner
Day 2: Canoe ride along the Rapti river is the best way to watch aquatic birds and migratory birds. Two different species of crocodiles; Marsh Mugger and Gharial are found in Chitwan. Walk back through the Jungle and enjoy the elephant bathing. After lunch drive to Garial breeding center and museum at the National park headquarter. Slide show presentation in the evening followed by dinner.
Day 3: Go into the Chitwan jungle on elephant back. You will see four different kinds of deer, Asian single horn rhino, wild boar, leopard, sloth bear and the most elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Walk back to the lodge for lunch birding. Later drive into the Jungle and walk back watching birds. Dinner.
Day 4: More bird watching in the morning and drive to next destination after breakfast.
